Activities:

Wednesday Work Sessions

Volunteers gather on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 for 8:00 a.m. at Jackal’s Den for coffee before starting the work session. Please bring your own refreshments, and enjoy the camaraderie afterward. On the first Wednesday of each month, we host a bring-and-braai along with a guest speaker presenting on a topic of interest.

Saturday Work Session

The monthly work session typically takes place on the second-to-last weekend of each month. As usual, we meet for coffee at the Den between 7:00 for 8:00 a.m. After the work session, feel free to relax and enjoy your refreshments. We also host a bring-and-braai to celebrate the arrival of autumn and spring.

Remember

Please bring water, sunscreen, and work gloves. We also recommend wearing old clothes or overalls/dust jackets.

For every four work sessions you attend, you are entitled to a free night accommodation. Jackal’s Den/Jakkalsgat offers basic overnight self-catering accommodation to members. It has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeps 4 people. One room has a double bed and the other a double decker bunk bed. Linen is not provided and the facility is not serviced.
